Complaints Procedure

We pride ourselves as a practice in providing healthcare at the highest standards, but we are aware that there may be times our patients or their families will feel the need to express their concerns or dissatisfaction with the service we have provided at Elmwood Medical Practice.

We have a formal pathway for you which will allow us to look into and if necessary, solve any problems or complaints that you have identified.

If is our policy to try and resolves theses problems or complaints as quickly as possible. If the manager is not available to deal with a complaint immediately we will ensure that a member of our practice team will make contact with the patient and/or family at the earliest opportunity.

All complains are taken seriously and handed in strict confidence by our doctors, nurses and administrative staff.

Please note that we have to respect our duty of confidentiality to patients and a patient’s consent will be necessary if a complaint is not made by the patient in person.

If you are a registered patient you can complain about your own care. You are unable to complain about someone else treatment without their written authority
